Dirty Spikes to learn lesson?

When the Orlando Sentinel asked Brandon Spikes about the dirtiest players on his own team in mid August of 2009, Spikes instead mentioned his experiences with the Gators' opponent in the BCS national title game.

"Compared to Oklahoma, you won't find anyone [as dirty]," Spikes told the Sentinel.

Fast forward not even two months later and Spikes (Florida's defensive captain) is being broadcasted all over the world as perhaps as one of the dirties players in the nation after the CBS cameras got him apparently attempting to gouge the eyes of Georgia running back Washun Ealey

Understood all teams do it to some degree, but Spikes was caught for the world to see as one of the "dirtiest" things you can do on the field.

Florida head coach Urban Meyer put his foot down and handed him a........two quarter suspension against Vanderbilt. Well, that is not going to teach Spikes a lesson so lets hope he learns it on his own.

good blog chris! couldn't of said it better myself!! lol!! 2 quarter suspension against vandy, shows that urban myer much rather win games then worry about the right thing to do when it comes to discipline.

But not to worry about the running back, Tim Tebow looked at him and smiled and healed his face and gave him the power to be invisble!!
