Sports Museum now in OKC; it stinks

The Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame and Jim Thorpe Museum had its official grand opening Tuesday, in Oklahoma City.

Here is the story: http://www.newsok.com/article/3417987?searched=sports%20museum&custom_click=search

No more professional baseball players coming to Guthrie, no Warren Spahn winner coming, no more sports media attention coming to Guthrie, no more sports icons coming to Guthrie, and all the publicity will be now focused in OKC.

Oh sure, Guthrie's part will be mention sometimes at the end of stories and or news broadcasts. Doubtful, maybe. That has already started to happen. Not sure I have heard or read the "G" word with the "merge."

I imagine if there is anything new to the museum it would go to OKC? So what will the Guthrie location have to offer now?

It was fun while it lasted. The original memorabilia is still in Guthrie and lets hope that stays, but have a feeling it may disappear like the state seal did years ago.
