New 5A Rankings!

Sorry, not a fan of the private schools as many know, but having said that Tulsa Kelley should be the No. 1 team in Class 5A.

The Comets not only took down the top ranked and mighty Hornets of Booker T. Not only winning, but somewhat dominating as they lead 21-0 at the half.

The new No. 1 Carl Albert lost to Booker T. on their home turf back in Week 1. Shawnee is a good team, but many would be 4-0 with their schedule to start the year.

Booker T. I believe is still the team with the greatest chance to win the 5A Gold Ball.

El Reno may have a small argument for the top ranking, but they do not have a quality win like Kelley does. The Guthrie win is impressive inside Jelsma, but not to the level of the Kelley win.

Kelley has played 6A Memorial and 4A Catoosa, who are not very good, but still blew each of those teams out and scoring 50 points in the process and in Week 2 defeated McGuinness, 10-9, for a very good quality win.

No brainer to me 4 weeks into the season:

1. T. Kelley (4-0)
2. Booker T. (2-2)
3. Carl Albert (3-1)
4. El Reno (4-0)
5. Shawnee (4-0)

What is your Top 5?

Wow Shawnee No. 1? Their opponent's have a combine 6-10 record and their best win is Deer Creek, who I think will fight for the fourth spot in 5A-1.

With that said, Shawnee will have a chance this week to prove it with Carl Albert at home.

I really like their offense and curious to see how it works this week.

LOL, rp.

However, Shawnee has been just mutilating their opponents. Reminds me of what Guthrie did a few years ago against a few teams outside of district in 2007. Brown looks fierce and ready to dominate. Carl Albert might have trouble with them. Friday will be a huge bar being set for the level of play in class 5A-2.
